Administrator FAQs

 

The MIB Services application has been designed to be a self-sufficient service allowing administrators and users to manage their own accounts.  Please check the FAQs below to see if there is an answer to your question before contacting MIB.   If you need further assistance then please email mibservices@mib.org.uk.

 

Where do I login to the MIB Services portal?

You can login to the MIB Services portal at https://www.mibservices.org.uk.  Once logged into the portal you are able to register your organisation, make payments, create user accounts and make enquiries.

 

I’ve not received my registration confirmation email

Emails are sent from noreply@mib.org.uk and it can take a few minutes for the automated email to be received by your organisation. Please check with your IT service provider in case it is blocked by your incoming email quarantine spam filters.

If you have still not received the email notification, please email mibservices@mib.org.uk and we will assist in getting your registration started.

 

How much is the askCUE PI subscription fee?

There are two available subscription methods:

  • Unlimited enquiry usage subscription - this is a paid for subscription which costs £195 +VAT. It provides you with the ability to make an unlimited number of enquiries during the 12 month subscription period.
  • Set enquiry usage subscription - this subscription is free of charge but restricts the number of enquiries you can make to 10 only during the 12 month subscription period. Once an organisation uses all of their free enquiries they will be required to have a paid for subscription in order to continue using the askCUE PI service.  

 

How do I pay for my askCUE PI subscription?

You can choose to pay by either credit or debit cards or a payment by BACS.

 

I can’t remember my forgotten password security answer for the MIB Services portal.  Who should I contact?

When you created your user account you were asked to provide a memorable security question and answer.   

If you are aOrganisation Administrator and cannot remember your answer please email MIBServices@mib.org.uk and we will to reset your passwordsecurity details. 

If you are a Branch Administration, your Organisation Administrator will be able to reset your security details for you.

 

Can an organisation or branch have more than one Administrator?

Yes, in addition to the overall organisation Administrator the system allows for two Administrators per branch to be set-up.

 

I am unable to create a user account for the MIB Services because the user has an email address which contains a number of special characters.  

We are aware of an issue when an email address contains both a hyphen and a full stop.  A resolution to This cause of this issue is currently under investigation and will be resolved in due course.  

 

Who manages the askCUE PI service?

The Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB) is responsible for managing the askCUE PI service on behalf of the insurance industry and government. 

 

Does askCUE PI support an application to application (A2A) facility for automated enquiries?

No. The askCUE PI service is a web only based search system and there are currently no plans in place to make this available as an A2A service.

 

I have an issue that is not covered here, what should I do?

Please send an email to MIBServices@mib.org.uk with the name of your organisation and email address registered with the MIB Services portal and provide details of the issue.

The MIB Services application has been designed to be a self-sufficient service allowing administrators and users to manage their own accounts.  Many user account issues are easily resolved by your branch or organisation administrator.  Please check the FAQs below to see if there is an answer to your question.

 

I have received an email from noreply@mib.org.uk asking me to create a user account for the MIB Services enquiry portal what does this mean?

If you have received this email it means a user account to access the MIB Services portal has been created for you by your organisation or branch Administrator.    

You will need to access the security link contained in the email to set up your user account details.  You will be prompted to create a password and provide memorable information in case you should forget your password at a later time.  Once you have created your password and memorable information click ‘Set Security Details’.    You will now be able to login to the MIB Services enquiry portal to make enquiries for the services your organisation or branch has already subscribed to.

 

Where do I login to the MIB Services portal?

You can login to the MIB Services portal at https://www.mibservices.org.uk/Account/Login.  Once logged into the portal you are able to make enquiries.

 

My account for the MIB Services system seems to be locked.  Who should I contact?

Contact your organisation or branch Administrator in the first instance.  If your Administrator is unable to resolve the issue please ask them to email MIBServices@mib.org.uk  for assistance and for your account access to be reset if required.

Where on the CNF do I need to input the askCUE PI enquiry search reference?

The askCUE PI enquiry search reference number must be populated into the Claim Notification Form (CNF) under section M ‘Additional Information’.
